Introducing Monetization Manager, Bradford Davis

Alright Team, it’s me, Bradford Davis. I have been hired as the Monetization Manager at Progrexion and I am lovin’ it.  I come from a background of lead gen in the education space, as well as insurance and employee benefits.

A little bit about me: I love spending time with my wife and daughter. What else? Real Salt Lake. Not a soccer fan?  I wasn’t either until a few years ago. Just give it a chance, alright? Aside from RSL, I am a lacrosse fanatic — I played in high school and currently play on a club team, and I also write for Utah Lacrosse News. Lastly, I love gaming. Halo is my game of choice. I also like to think that I am an avid hiker… have I been on a hike in the past 1 to 5 years? No. Read More

Introducing Hot Swap Coordinator, Robert Olson

Hi everyone. My name is Robert Olson. I am the new Hot Swap coordinator at Progrexion. I have been at Progrexion marketing for the long time of about 42 days (but who’s counting?).  I came from a smaller business that focused on individual marketing campaigns, PR, and auctions. So I have a pretty diverse background that mainly was focused on marketing, sales, and customer service.  I also moonlight as a professional auctioneer (yes that kind of auctioneer) and do corporate events and benefit galas for schools, corporations, and nonprofit organizations. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, sports, listening to music, playing games, and watching and singing Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (The greatest movie of all time). Read More

Introducing Our New Digital Display Coordinator

Hey guys, I’m Ali and I am the new Digital Media Coordinator here at Progrexion. I have a zest for life (some may call it spazzy-ness) and for all things design – interior, graphic, modern, mid-century, etc; novelty foods – anything miniature, themed, has sprinkles, you get the idea. Oh and I hate oranges; the smell, taste look, everything about them. I want to see the world; not just some of it, but all of it. Traveling is somewhat of an addiction, you could say. That and projects — I have to have a new project going on at my house or I’m think of the next big thing I can create. Read More

Can a Marketing Firm Make a Difference?

Sisyphus had a pretty good thing going, being king and all. As a bit of a smarty pants who everyone seemed to want to be around, he founded Corinth and begun his rule that would extend for generations. He was also as crafty as they came. Despite not owning a single Hallow, he was able to outsmart Death by locking the all-time-trickster in the closet.

(I am no expert in tourism marketing, but I am confident P.T. Barnum could have made a mint selling out of that attraction.)

The Wonderful World of Progrexion

I’m Justin, I am a graphic designer for Progrexion and have been here for about 2 months. I am happily married to my wife Melissa and have two wild boys, Jackson and Caden. As a family, we love all things Disney and have been to Disneyland too many times to count. Some of my hobbies are photography and running. (I ran a half marathon at Disneyland, which was inside both parks, through the streets of Anaheim, and on the field of Angel Stadium! Amazing experience!)

Hi guys. | Introduction: Liz Helm

I’m Liz. My favorite food is pizza, my favorite color right now is Kelly Green and my favorite song right now is Royals by Lorde (still? I know guys, I know). I love fresh air, I organize my room for stress relief and I love to travel. Oh, and I hate roses. I just had to get that out there.

Before becoming the Lead Generation Manager here at Progrexion, I worked for 4 years at an interactive lead gen company in the education space. I learned so many valuable work and life experiences being there during that time and my experience made the transition to this new role smooth (thank goodness).

That being said, I’m obsessed with Progrexion.

The Art of Creation

Our culture is inundated with art of all different forms for both commercial and entertainment use. Most of us love talking about movies, bands, artists, photographers, animators, commercials, etc. So let’s talk. Some of the creative work happening right now is incredibly well crafted and polished. And some is clumsily manufactured; sloppily relying on gimmicks and base appeal. Regardless of the quality and caliber of the art, we sift through masses of creative work daily. And while our discussions frequently revolve around the personal likes and dislikes of that finished work, rarely do we discuss how that work was made or the effort and skill required produce it. What lens was used in a particular shot from our favorite movie? What chord progression was used in a song we love? How did an art director arrive at a particular design? As marketers, we frequently use commercial art to strike up a conversation with our customers about our own work. Consequently, it is critical that we develop and utilize our own creative process, because without the right creative work to initiate those conversations, we might as well talk to the mirror.

Introduction: Carrie Sorensen

Hi.  Carrie Sorensen here!  I am the new Display Manger and have loved the last 4 months I’ve been with Progrexion.  I bring with me a somewhat unique background; 2 years at a buying group and marketing company focused in wholesale distribution, just under 2 years at a traditional advertising agency, and 18 months at an interactive and lead generation shop.  I am thrilled to be a part of the Progrexion marketing team and learn and contribute to an already great company.

While studying at the University of Utah I became fascinated with human behavior and interaction.  That fascination has now translated to the interaction of consumers to a brand.  Why do we as consumers do what we do?  Why do we buy something when we buy it?  What messages do we believe?  One step further, how does my interaction online with brands and other people affect the way I view the world around me, brands, and myself?  The discovery of answers to questions like these is the basis of what us, as marketers strive to answer.

Introduction: Chris Salway

I grew up with five brothers, and I’m the youngest by five years.  I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by marketing.  My father spent his entire 40+ year career working in sales and marketing for a major computer company.  All of my brothers followed his example and went into careers in sales and marketing.  From an early age I listened to their discussions, debates, and theories on the newest trends and hottest media.  As a result of this exposure, I wasn’t the little boy who dreamed about being an astronaut, a veterinarian, or the next Michael Jordan.  I always knew I wanted a career in marketing.
